2014 St. Patrick's Day in East Dundee

This past weekend marked the annual East Dundee 2014 St. Patrick's Day - Thom McNamee Memorial festivities. The weather turned out to be pretty good and there was a fantastic turn out!! I heard someone mention that there was over 5000 people in attendance and every one of them was Irish for the entire weekend! The celebration started on Friday night a fireworks display worthy of an award! More than one person described it as "a 30 minute FINALE"! The event was questionable early in the day as the winds were 20 gusting to 27mph. As if by divine intervention, the winds calmed right before 7pm and the fireworks began right at 7:30!
