Pingree Grove Dec. 19, 2007 - Residential Box Alarm on Muirhead Rd.
What started out as a garage fire on Muirhead Rd in unincorporated Kane County, turned into a Division 2 MABAS Box 2-360 . 25° out there and not a hydrant to found, these guys had their work cut out for them. Firefighters from 7 departments responded. Pingree Grove, South Elgin, Hampshire, Huntley, Elgin, Rutland-Dundee, West Dundee, Carpentersville, Burlington & Elburn (if I left anyone out, please email me!)
I saw someone get a dog out of the back of the house, but according to the homeowner's mother, there were all kinds of smaller animals in the garage, where the fire apparently started according to neighbors.
