Algonquin/LITH FPD Jan. 23, 2009 - Injury Rollover accident

4 teenagers who happened to be going through the intersection at Randall and Commons escaped disaster as the vehicle in front of them was hit while making a left turn, flipping it on its roof. They immediately got out of their vehicles in the freezing cold and went to check on the SUV sitting upside down in the southbound lanes of Randall Rd. The driver, a pregnant mother of a 3 year old was helped out of the vehicle but started screaming about her baby who was still in the car. Luis Nunez (16), Jesse Nunez (17) and Nick Frankowiak (16) then went and help the woman's 3 year old daughter out of the vehicle and then stood and watched as paramedics treated the people involved in the accident, then realizing that had they been in the intersection a second sooner, that could possibly had been their car sitting upside down.

The condition of the pregnant mother and her 3 year old daughter and the driver of the Blazer that struck them are unknown at this time.
