Elgin PD received a call late this afternoon that a person in a silver Nissan attempted to run someone over on DuPage Avenue. Within 10 seconds the dispatcher then noted that the caller said the person was turning around to attempt it again.

Police were in the area within seconds were trying to pull the car over while he was going in reverse down DuPage St.

The whole thing went down in about 3 minutes but ultimately they got the driver.
