A little boy, (probably 4 years old) was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead last night at Sherman Hospital, along with her 67 yr. old Grandmother who was also ejected.
The driver and one other occupant of the Ford Expedition fled the scene. Kane County Sheriff and Elgin K-9 units were brought in to see if they could track the driver. It's possible that they were standing there watching as firefighters treated the children and 3 others for serious injuries.
