Elgin Cycle Classic Aug. 5, 2007 : The Downtown Neighborhood Association sponsored the 3rd annual Elgin Cycle Classic in Elgin's Downtown again this year. After rain poured all night, it almost stopped, as though on que, for the race. There were still a lot of slick spots, as well as some crazy turns. Elgin Cycling Classic Aug. 6, 2006 : August 6th, the Elgin Downtown Neighborhood Association hosted the Elgin Cycling Classic. It was a great event with turning out over 1500 spectators.
